SSI DIVE GUIDE & DIVEMASTER

Devoted divers with a desire to pass along their love of scuba diving to others will find the SSI Dive Guide and Divemaster programs a rewarding experience.

Much as the SSI Open Water Diver course opened the door to diving, the SSI Dive Guide or Divemaster program will open the door to leadership, which allows you to enjoy diving on an entirely different level.

SSI Dive Guide (DG).

This program is an introduction into the world of Dive Professionals. As a Dive Guide you will be qualified to lead certified divers on a variety of scuba diving adventures. Dive Guides are required to work through an active SSI Dive Center and, when necessary, with an active SSI Instructor.

For many divers in Bali,that will be the easiest way to become a certified Diveleader.

As a certified SSI Dive Guide (DG) you can:

Give underwater tours to certified scuba divers
Teach Snorkel Diving after passing the Snorkel Instructor Module
Issue Snorkel Diver certifications

Prerequisites:
• Be at least 18 years old.
• Have a Total Diving System of professional type and quality.
• Have a current medical exam for scuba diving not older than 1 year and signed ...by a licensed medical practitioner.
• Hold an Advanced Open Water Diver certification or equivalent (4 ..Specialty's).
• Logged no less than 40 open water dives totalling 25 hours or more.
• Have logged significant experience in the following Specialty programs: ..Navigation, Night/Limited Visibility, Deep Diving, and Boat Diving

SSI Divemaster (DM).

Dive Guide + Science of Diving, equals Divemaster. Divemasters can also lead and guide certified divers, as well as assist with both classroom and pool under direct supervision of an SSI Instructor.

As a certified SSI Divemaster (DM) you can:

Do all Dive Guide activities
Assist active SSI Instructors in academics, pool and open water training under direct supervision

Prerequisites:
• Be at least 18 years old.
• Own a Total Diving System of professional type and quality.
• Have a current medical exam for scuba diving not older than 1 year and signed ...by a licensed medical practitioner.
• Be certified as an active Dive Guide level or equivalent.
• Logged no less then 50 open water dives totalling 32 hours or more.

Snorkle Instructor

SSI Snorkel Instructor.

Snorkeling is a great way to introduce people to the amazing underwater world! Many of the snorkelers of today will become the certified divers of tomorrow. As a Dive Guide or Divemaster you can teach Snorkel Diving after passing the Snorkel Instructor Module.
